The Pivot Shuttle made its mark as one of the best mountain eBikes on the market and has become a staple in the Pivot lineup. Now, for riders who want to push boundaries even further, they have released the Shuttle LT. LT stands for “Long Travel,” giving riders 170mm of front and 160mm of rear travel. This version comes equipped with a Fox Performance E-MTB 38 Fork and a Fox Performance Float X rear suspension for high level performance and a lower price than the Team version. Pivot used a dw-Link suspension which allowed for an amount of shock needed for downhill riding while maintaining speed and performance.
Pivot’s very successful Firebird downhill machine was the inspiration behind the Shuttle LT. They used a very similar geometry and carbon layup to the Firebird to develop this bike. Pivot believes that their cornerstone technologies are so strong that they should not stray from their success when making an eBike to produce similar results. It features lightweight hollowcore carbon fiber, making it incredibly lightweight for a downhill eBike. A flip chip allows you to customize the geometry based on the type of terrain you intend on attacking. This version also features DT Swiss Hybrid H1900 wheels for specialized off-road performance.
Pivot upgraded the battery on the shuttle to the Shimano EP801 which features a 20 percent increase in peak power, jumping from 500 to 600 watts from the previous model. It is still extremely lightweight and quiet while bouldering through the toughest terrain. It pairs with an integrated 756 Wh battery for the perfect combination of assistance. This battery was developed between Shimano and Pivot to create the ideal system for downhill and endurance riding. The battery is housed lower in the downtube which makes it easier to remove while enhancing handling. This entire system is customizable through Shimano’s E-Tube App to suit your range preferences based on the next trail you want to ride. The Pivot Shuttle LT is a new way to dominate any terrain or downhill adventure.
